Laundry appliances
List washers, dryers or similar household units and say how many are involved.
appliance removal
Describe the large appliances you want removed, their quantity and location. A provider can confirm acceptance, access and any preparation requirements.
Start a requestIndependent providers. Availability varies by location.
Items & spaces
Name each unit and whether it is freestanding, stacked or built in. These are examples of items to discuss, rather than a guaranteed acceptance list.
List washers, dryers or similar household units and say how many are involved.
Describe refrigerators, freezers, ovens or dishwashers individually. Acceptance depends on the provider and the item.
If your item does not fit a category, name it and describe it. Do not assume specialist equipment is included in standard removal.
Plan the removal
Where a unit sits, how it is installed and the route out all help describe the job. Share what you know before arranging collection.
Include the appliance type, approximate size and quantity. A compact refrigerator, a full-height freezer and a built-in dishwasher need different descriptions. Add the make or model if it helps identify the unit.
Say whether the appliance is freestanding, installed under a counter, stacked or still connected. Ask who will handle any required disconnection or specialist work; do not assume that removal includes those tasks.
Note the room, floor, stairs, elevator and route to the entrance. For a basement freezer or upstairs washer, mention the access clearly so the provider can discuss the work before arrival.
Before you agree
Use the discussion with the provider to confirm the details that are not covered by a simple appliance name.
Ask what needs to be emptied or prepared, when it should be done and who is responsible. Get instructions specific to your appliance and its installation.
Tell the provider about water, gas or fixed electrical connections and built-in fittings. Confirm whether additional qualified help is needed before removal can take place.
Confirm every unit on the list, any specialist handling, carrying arrangements and the final price. Appliance condition and availability are assessed by the provider.
Example inquiry
Illustrative wording. Use your own item and access details.
I have one full-height refrigerator in the kitchen and one washing machine in a ground-floor utility room. Both are still in place and the washer is connected. There are two steps at the front entrance. Please confirm which preparation and disconnection arrangements are needed before collection.
The appliance types, connection status and access details make the request easier to review.
Questions, answered
Confirm the requirements with the provider before doing anything. Explain which connections are present and ask who is responsible for any disconnection or specialist work.
Describe it as built in and explain whether it is attached to cabinetry or other fittings. Removal from an installation is a separate point to agree on; it is not confirmed by the request form.
Include its approximate size, location and current condition. Ask the provider about acceptance, preparation and any special handling requirements for that specific unit.
Include both in one inquiry and say whether they are side by side or stacked. Mention their location and connections. The provider confirms whether the complete job can be accommodated.
Do not assume they are. Identify the equipment, its approximate dimensions and where it is installed. Discuss acceptance and any specialist requirements directly with the provider.
You can mention the delivery date or preferred window in your message. The form does not reserve a slot; confirm availability and scheduling directly with the provider.
